we shant speak of age

dont think I have ever made a scrap book of anything, as an artist I did a lot of drawings of people I liked etc...but never a 'scrap book'....though I do have my wedding photos in a photo album--does that count?

what a nice summer day today--perfect for....lots of stuff that I didnt get done and even better for doing absolutely NOTHING!!

EDIT:

I Knew it was too good to last....at 7:30am I was awoken by the sound of....jack hammers as the city has decided to tear out the sidewalk that runs thru my driveway---and they leave a letter saying that they will begin work on it the monday FOLLOWING the recipt of the letter (dated today)...and since its a holiday week (and our stupid town as a festival) there is no parking on the street for the week as well as no one working for the rest of the week! so now I am stuck in my home as my car is IN my garage and I have a huge 18" hole in the middle of my driveway!

I was 7 years younger when I joined. Crazy to think about that...

I don't scrapbook. My wife doesn't have time to scrap book so ya. We don't scrapbook, which is a-okay with me!

Been beautiful the past few days. Not too hot, not cold either. No real rain since Saturday. Just been great.

hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of july holiday (usa---for those non-americans that read and dont post).

finally got in touch with the village idiots and they said it was a mistake that no one told us, knocked on our doors etc....still doesnt make up for the very rude awakening though. and they sent someone by to cover the hole so I could get my car out, now just have to wait for the concrete to cure (if they even did it---I was sick yesterday so I didnt even venture outside to find out).

Happy 4th of July indeed. A day filled with BBQ and fireworks. Oh and idiots blowing their hands off because of fireworks. Always a good time!

Jeez, that is just rude. Glad they came out to semi-fix it but even still, you need to be notified so you can make sure you aren't stuck. I wish more people actually used their brains.

brains???? this is the GOVERNMENT, no brains there (and it was an outside contractor that did the work, not the idiots themselves, so of course they blame those guys for not telling us, go figure).

bbq, yuk, fireworks, check ---that festival began last night so we had fireworks last night...and for the next 3 nights too.

Wife and I went to my parents where my mom made brats and hot dogs. It was just us, my parents, and my grandparents. Nice and quiet time. After that my wife and I went and met some friends to watch the fireworks. That was a lot of fun as well, plus we found a place where it wasn't too crowded, we could still see the fireworks easily, and traffic was not an issue. So it was pretty darn good.

So who wants to write thank you notes for me? >.>

hahahahhaaaaaa!!
yeah, right....I never wrote them for mine so I doubt you want me doing yours! (I did a LOT of verbal 'thank you's instead ...though I think I wrote some to my non-family gifters).

so do ya like writing 'my wife and I' yet?

and yeah, its nice to be able to walk to see them---could do that when I was a kid too--they had them just up the street from us (4 blocks) so it wasnt too far then either. Wasnt 'quiet' by any standards though ....and peeps were still setting off stuff well past midnight.

lol I wanted to do verbal thank you but my fiancee said I couldn't... So I have to write them. I have gotten through some, but a lot still remain.

lol I am getting used to writing my wife and I for sure. Still kinda hits me by surprise from time to time though.

My sister had some of her friends over to her place because they could see fireworks from their house. Definitely would have been nice to do that but I think we had more fun going with our friends.

just do a few a day and in a ....few days they will all be done!

festival still going on here, so got to see fireworks again last night, still nice to be able to walk only ~2 blocks to see fireworks.

made fajitas for dinner, YUM!

cant believe its sunday again...hubby had 1/2 of the week off (like no one would have been working at his office on friday anyway---) so I am confused about what day it is, but this week has been so long for me (guess being sick will do that to you).

I actually have gotten pretty much all of them typed up. I have two left I need to do but otherwise they are done. Just have to let my wife look through them and okay them before I write them out. Powered through them yesterday but only after finding out that I had lost a whole bunch due to user error on my part... Didn't realize they were saving to my flash drive so I overwrote the one on the flash drive with the one from my desktop... Oh well.

Sunday funday? I'm watching the Wimbledon mens final right now. Hopefully it will be a great match.

I was going to grill chicken last night but it didn't thaw fast enough. So I'm doing that tonight instead. Had leftovers last night.

where did you go? that is a long drive (but I used to do more...back when I could sit for more than a few hours )....though in the usa we like long drives ---back when my hubby was in grad school he used to drive from boise to the INEL which is about....380-400km every weekend (his thesis area was there and we lived in boise)...so we are used to the long drives. Still its a pretty dang long trip.

No joke, where did you go? That is quite a trip for one day. Though I guess I did drive 380 miles in a day before... Pretty much straight through with the exception of grabbing lunch... But ya, what country did you end up in? Long trips can be boring by yourself, more fun with someone else there!

WE drove from Ballerup (near Copenhagen) to Grenåå, very very north of the country, but as our country is, we have to drive west for long, then north, can't go northwest sadly, yeah he bought a puppy for him and his wife and child and we went and picked it up, very cute little puppy

geez that is a haul...wouldnt it have been quicker to take a ferry to aarhus?
what kind of puppy? Kids should have pets, it helps them learn about responsibility and such, so good idea!

in other news...got those ark plans out again....flash flood watches in effect et.al

A very long trip for a puppy. Especially the ride back. Constantly stopping so the dog can go pee and what not. I wish I had a puppy... Wife won't let me get one.

Rain here today, but just some, not a ton, so no flood warnings. It did ruin my morning run though since a storm went through and made it so I couldn't go. Oh well.

Well, the Ferry on sundays are quite far between, and with a puppy and all those people, yeah we decided driving were the better option, it's Rotweiller and Labrador mix

Actually, the puppy was doing well, she said when she needed to pee and then relaxed and slept most of the way but she was a little scared when she got into her new house, for good reasons.

Loads of sun here, was really nice! not to hot and not to cold either.

yeah, guess a ferry ride would be kind of long to wait for a puppy.

so you had some nice weather to take a drive...and everyone is doing well=happy ending!

had some really good down pours yesterday (and it seemed right over our stupid little town!)...rest of the week (after today) looks a bit dryer again...but its summer in the midwest so the temps are finally going up (and not coming down much at night).
